Whilst not classified as hazardous waste (although some vinyl floor coverings can contain polyvinylchloride (PVC) and so can be) carpets and vinyl floorings can generally not be reused or recycled and as such are classed as difficult waste.

With landfill the only option this means disposal costs are usually charged by the tonne (which of course has to include the current rate of landfill tax) and with the potential for carpets to get wet, together with the possible weight of a skip full of carpet or vinyl floorings being fairly high, costs can quickly escalate.

Select A Skip UK Ltd are of course able to arrange the collection and disposal of any carpet or vinyl flooring you may have, but it is imperative you inform us at the time of ordering to ensure we can arrange the most cost effective solution.
